Fil-American vlogger Wil Dasovich and famous cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao have been an item since 2017. The two first met at an awards show, and eventually became friends. Sparks were already flying prior to Wil's colon cancer diagnosis later that year. While Wil was battling for his life and seeking treatment in the US, Alodia was by his side keeping the faith steady.
The pair later on progressed from friends to lovers and revealed they're a couple in February 2018. Through the years, Wil and Alodia have shared their relationship with their fans. From traveling together and with their friends, to meeting each one's families, Wil and Alodia's lives have become intertwined. However in November 2021, Alodia admitted they have decided to end their relationship despite trying to work things out a few times. It was in April 2017 when they first met for the Influence Asia Awards where they were up against each other. They were introduced in a Manila airport before flying to Malaysia for the awarding ceremony. After the event, the two skipped the after party to edit videos together and get to know each other more.
It was love at first sight according to Dasovich, who was charmed by Alodia's beauty and diligence. And within two months, their relationship had grown to more than just infatuation and friendship.
Prior to finding out about his illness, Alodia and Wil were planning to travel together to Germany. But Wil had to fly to San Francisco for treatment and to spend time with family.
After finding out about Wil's colon cancer, Alodia flew to the U.S. practically every two weeks to be with Wil, sacrificing sleep to finish work while still spending time for Wil who was undergoing treatment.
It was around July 2017 when the two recalled having their first date. Wil took Alodia as his plus one to the red carpet premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Around September 2017, Wil and Alodia have been seen hanging out together. The two weren't shy about being seen together and also posted their sweet moments online. Rumors further ignited when Nico Bolzico posted an Instagram story and referred to the two as “the new official couple.”
While in the U.S., Alodia was seen in Wil's videos as they shared moments together and accompanying Wil to his first chemotherapy session.
Both Wil and Alodia share that they have experienced many firsts together, from spending Thanksgiving and Christmas together to watching a baseball game together. The two agreed their lives changed after meeting each other.
Wil described Alodia as his “rock” who was there for him throughout everything. Alodia, on the other hand, reflects that her life changed after meeting Wil as he has influenced her a lot.
Soon after announcing the end of his chemotherapy, Wil announced through a video on February 14, 2018, that he and Alodia are officially a couple. Alodia also released a video confessing her feelings for Wil. She said, “Always know that you will always have my support, as well as my heart. This is just the beginning. I love you.”
Wil and Alodia went through the COVID-19 pandemic staying strong together.
